Celebrating our Veterans

The Veteran's Spotlight edition of The Revera and Reel Youth Age Is More Film Project saw young filmmakers paired with veterans and other seniors who had lived through the second world war. Over the course of two weekends, the youth and older participants collaborated to create videos of the seniors’ first-hand accounts of the war and how it impacted their lives. In the process of working on the films the participants got to know each other and developed new friendships - a legacy that lives on, along with the films.
This project was created by Revera, Canadian leader in seniors accommodation, care and service and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create films about important social issues. The goal was to bring young and old together to help build bridges and change behaviours and attitudes.
